INFORMAL PORTRAIT

If possible, it is best to start the portrait from life. An initial sitting would allow me to meet the subject and select the setting. That would be the ideal but is not always possible and is not essential. Almost all of the painting will be done in my Studio working from reference gathered by me and, or supplied by you. I gather the reference in the form of drawings, sketches and photographs. If the reference is supplied by you, it would most likely be photographs, preferably digital.

Payment for painting is made upon completion and satisfaction.

The cost of all commissions is determined by the size and complexity of the work. Any shipping or travel related expenses are covered by the client at the time they are incurred.
